3. User Interactions

1) Private Chat : You can send private messages to your friend in a separate window and others won't be able to see it.

Both the private chat window and the video windows of both parties can easily switch between floating mode and docked mode.

Popup Mode
This is what it looks like when the private chat is in popup mode and the private video in docked mode.

When the video is not activated, under the other party's avatar, you can find all user interaction buttons such as open private video, send gift, send file, ignore, add friend, and view profile buttons. It's very convenient! And when the video is activated, the user interactions button can be found by hovering over, on the right end, with a dropdown menu.

2) Personal message in the lobby: will appear in the chat lobby like this: "a > b: blabla." and everyone can see.

3) Whisper: will appear in the chat lobby but like this: "a > b: (Whisper) blabla." which means only a and b can read it.

4) Ignore: you can block another user's messages this way.

5) Send file: Word documents, images, or MP3 files can be transferred between users in private chat. However, it is strongly recommended to scan received files with antivirus software.

There are two ways to initiate a file transfer.

a) Left click on a username from the user list, select Send file in the pop-up profile panel.

b) Double click on the recipient's name in the user list to open a private chat window first, then click on the Send file icon.

Choose a file then in the open file dialog box, click Open and then the file transfer will start.

After sending it, you can still withdraw the transfer request if the recipient has not yet accepted your file.

Once the file is accepted, a notification will be received.

6) Ignore: you can block another user's messages this way.

7) View profile: will help you get more information about others. If the user is linked to Facebook or Twitter, you can click on the Facebook Profile button or Twitter Profile button to view the user's Facebook or Twitter profile page.
